What you're seeing, probably, is the 'cold running' modification, designed to prevent over-fueling when cold....although many have reported a general improvement in behavior hot or cold

I suggest using the wiring diagrams from the S57 Wiring Guide. It's in one of the sticky threads at the top of this section

Can't find S57 wiring guide that opens up to get to the MAF diagram

I did see the TSB on Cold Start EFI Over fueling on pin 6 and 8 with a 100uF capacitor
