hi, im new to the forum and i was thinking about getting, you guessed it a 91 xjs v12. but since i dont know much about jaguar i was hoping some of you could help me and tell me the common problem of these models

Go to the "XJS" section. At the top of that section, in one of the "sticky threads", is a buyers guide that will cover many of the basics.

After reading that you can post more specific questions, if needed

The main thing to know is that these cars are an offshoot of the saloons, so the suspension is the same, albeit different spring rates. The XK straight six of the XJ saloons was never fitted, the XJS started off with the V12, then later on the aluminium straight six AJ6 engine was fitted.

Production volumes of these cars were very small, and less care was taken with rustproofing. The later cars under Ford ownership of Jaguar were much improved, especially the slightly restyled ones.
