Default Boot lid lock help

So when my car was restored, the person who dismantled the trunk messed up the trunk lock, so im wondering if there is anything that i can do to replace it??? How would i go about it? any aftermarket options?

Disassembling the mechanism isn't hard (I've done a couple), just pay attention to what went where.
After you have the part out of the car, a wrecking yard, or David Bodger will probably be your best bet for replacement.

If you're careful, you can even replace the lock with your own (or rebuild it) so you won't need another key.

What got messed up?
Was it the lock assembly, the catch, the solenoid?
I do have all of those parts on hand... I'll be glad to get you whatever you need...

i will take some pictures, hopefully its fixable because the whole locking assembly was stripped and repainted black to match the car :/

it is a simple mechanism, here is a picture of it in my 1984.

AHHHH i see what im missing, that bracket with the holes in it, hopefully i still have it
