Hello I recently bought this 01/09/1981 Daimler Double Six HE (Series III)and am prparing to start some bodywork.
I'm desparatley looking for the colour code of this car, that is NOT mentionned where it should be on the indentification plate on the inner side of the right wing.

most paint shops can pull a paint code off of the VIN#

 

The Jaguar VIN doesn't have any information on paint color. From the picture, it looks like Cobalt Blue. The code for that is JDM. You could buy a bottle of touch-up and see if it matches.

 

Sometimes with Daimler,I know it is so with S2 VDP, you could order ANY colour you wanted, hence no paint code. The code or name was in the owner's book.

I'll be interested to see what this ends up being as it's the same colour my SIII is painted in, but it's not the original colour.
