I chose "Lseat" for the leather seat covers for my 88 XJS and they are not made in China. They are made to order right here in the USA. I sent them a sample of the color and they matched it perfectly. The set contained 2 seat covers and a cover for the center console cubby. Turnaround time 3 weeks

I chose LSeat for my 95 Range Rover. Good material, great construction, will use them when I do the Jag.

Jose, i liked BAS because they seemed to match the original embossed series 1 details but i have called both branches with no answer or response. Does anyone have any experience on how many calls or weeks/months it might take with them? Do the others match the embossed panels?
Thank you all

Well, I used GAHH for my Series III seat kits. Very nice match to the original door panels and very good fit as well. Pictures are here:

Or you can search this forum for "Okay So I like my XJ6".

DBaer, FYI here is an estimate BAS gave my awhile back when I was looking for upholstery. They always answered my emails, but were slow sometimes. I never tried to call them.

there is also an old business in Indiana or Ohio called OSJI (Original Specifications Jaguar Interiors). They did some work for me back in the 1990's. They did excellent work.

Google OSJI and contact them to see if they answer.

BAS is also excellent quality but if Bart does not answer phone calls or emails, what good is it? Bart is the guy you place orders with. I ordered the Headliner fabric from BAS. Excellent quality.

Like Dave, (LT1), I went with vinyl seat covers. Got tired of the leather issues. All the original vinyl in my '84 XJ is still perfect, but the leather was not.

Dave, this is good info and not that long ago. Did you end up purchasing and if so, how long was the lead time?

No DBaer, I didn't buy anything from them, my budget for the interior did not include that price. I bought front/rear seat covers from GAHH and headliner material and some door trim from another online vendor, don't remember who. Everything else was salvageable.

DBaer I found a complete set of used reupholstered seats in vinyl and just received them today. Excellent foams and whoever did the job was an expert.

Purchased the set from Eric Young, a seller in eBay. Offered him $275.00 plus tax. he accepted offer but he is in Monterey California and shipping was $500.00 through UPS freight. in a large pallet. These are complete seats, not seat covers. I even got the driver's seat motor and rail.

He has another set of seats in leather if you want to check them out go to ebay and type JAGUAR XJ6 SEATS in the search box. He is asking $400.00 but offer him $250. or whatever you think is fair. Where I got burned was the shipping from Calif. to Florida. Shipping costs have tripled especially by freight. Not enough truck drivers.

As for me I am done with leather, too much hassle and maintenance. Vinyl lasts, leather doesn't. The seats I received are a perfect match
in Biscuit color and identical to the factory design. I am very satisfied because mine are worn out and leather has cracks all over.
