Finally had to replace the cold start injector on my XJ6.
After almost four years of cold starts getting harder and harder, the injector final failed--electrically worked fine but obviously now completely clogged. Didn't realize new ones were no longer available. Searched online and locally for NOS but no luck. Finally got one on eBay, used but looks and works like new, from a BMW, virtually the same as the OEM Jag part (Bosch). Car now starts faster than it has in all the time I've owned it. If I had known it would make this big of a difference I would have replaced it years ago when new were still readily available.
I'm going to try to clean the old one in an ultrasonic cleaner and if that works I'll keep it as a spare. Some of these old parts are getting hard to find.
David, the one I bought on eBay was listed for BMW E30, 325E, E28, and 528E, all from the 1980s-1990s. I think there are more BMW models that used the same injector from the same time period. It's also possible other makes used the same model but I haven't looked into that. Sorry, I didn't look at the Bosch part number before putting it on.
Bosch stopped making new ones a few years ago so you'll have to look for used or NOS.
