First time battery hook up after 20yrs..xj12
So hooked up a battery, showed .5A ignition off.
ignition ON. only IGNITION displayed on annunciator panel.
radio, clock, windows, door locks, climate control fan, wipers, all had power and functioned.
was able to engage starter (pistons lubricated) as well.
no headlights and no blinkers. No power to fuel pump feed line…
where to go next ? I’d like to have the headlights and blinkers functioning. No power at headlight fuses.. all fuses cleaned and tested.
thanks

What year car? Annunciator panel doesn't sound like a ser 3. Did they make xj40's with a v12? Or maybe the indicator panel between the tach and speedo on a ser 3 is indeed called an annunciator panel. Not trying to be jerk, I immediately thought of the electronic panels on each side of the column on an xj40. Whole different car...

20yrs sitting my first thoughts are clean the light switch and ignition switch with D3/D4 spray cleaner or spray electronic cleaner from the parts store first. Spray into switch and cycle a few times, bet things start coming to life.
You'll probably want to do this to all the switches at some point.

Got lights to work powering directly at relay. Worked. Powered them thru light switch no luck. Brown + and ground didn’t work…. It’s fun I’ll figure that out eventually. Lots of cleaning to do. Connections are dirty ect…
I have a schematic so it’s easy to trace. I hope the ecu will come alive..
