Default Fuel line broken!

I have a 1983 Daimler double six and whilst jacking the rear up the jack collapsed and punctured the fuel return line.

the line is NLA and I was wondering if I could cut the line out and join it with a rubber line covered in foil to protect it from the exhaust.

acceptable?

Should be fine; it's the return line; low pressure.

If you later feel more ambitious it probably wouldn't be too hard to splice-in a metal section using compression fittings.

Cheers

Okay great. Now to figure out how to make a flare fitting to hold a rubber line…!
