Last week while chatting up another Xj6 driver, we decided it was our civic Duty to spread the joy of these Beautiful cars wherever we could. I didn't realize at the time how profound that discussion would be.
Yesterday as I was driving Nix in town, an olde banger in the lane to my right was pacing just off my front quarter. I thought that was a little strange, Until I noticed his phone out the window at a really odd angle. HE WAS RECORDING NIX ON HIS PHONE!!
Then today I was over at the hardware store on the main street in what passes for our Downtown Area. Traffic was light as it's one of Merca's High Holy Days, and there was no one else in the parking lot. I completed my business and when I came out I noticed a HUGE Lifted 4x4 parked in the weeds just across the road, paid it no mind as this IS a farming community. I got into Nix, pulled out of the lot and turned to my right, and noticed the driver following her every move, until I was past, at which time he started his rig and moved on.
On down to the Local Emporium for a cube of Pepsi. As Nix and I were leaving there, sitting on the apron to enter the main road, at the end of a line of 5 or 6 vehicles was a motorcyclist with a rubber neck. He was in front of Nix, but spent a Lot of time glancing in his mirrors, until he turned off.
As I hadn't got the mail yesterday I stopped in front of the local Pony Express Station (Post Office); was just leaving when one of the locals caught sight of Nix and stopped almost in the middle of the street! Then, as if realizing, made a hard left turn into the PO parking lot. I already had Nix started by then so continued back to the house.
Nix for sure spreads Joy wherever she goes!
