My work dictated I visit my chiropractor the other day (an ongoing situation since before college and the Only reason I can work like I do), and when I came out I had No Trouble finding which car was was mine!
Can you see her?
No need to see which one answers a fob call.

Modern cars look guastly, don't they. All delicacy and proportion has just evaporated from car design. You car looks like a princess hiding from the ugly sisters!
really nice car you have! and good to see you actually use it often!
yes many modern cars look standard. There are hardly any cars that stand out. And what I also find very annoying: all of them are either black or white. So it seems.
look up a picture of a typical 70's street view, and you would see all the colors of the rainbow on cars. Like the cars are the balloons to celebrate the party of life. And now it's all plain and boring colors...

I lose mine fairly often, actually.
These old Jags are low...and modern cars are built very tall. My Jag becomes the little house hidden by a sea of skyscrapers! Heck, the beltline on many cars (SUVs and trucks especially) is higher than the ROOF of my Jag.
Driving among the rolling skyscrapers can be tricky or even dangerous, as they block your visibility.
Oh well! I'm not complaining. Driving a cool old Jag has the occasional downside...and that's OK
I've never lost her (I used to lose Wart, silver Ford van, quite often), I just leave her cute little butt hanging out a bit.
Not enough to get hit, mind you, just enough to be visible in the sea of boring sameness.

I went through this with my old Camry, had taken a picture in a parking lot and it was unmistakable, sky blue with wrap around lights and beautiful curves, same with both of my jags i tend to back them in and leave the front hanging out a little bit because they are so low. something about curves i can spot them a mile away regardless of what they are on.
The older models were instantly recognisable as Jaguars. Take the badges off any of the current designs and they look little different to many other marques.
However, one of the few advantages of the modern boxes is technology. The Jaguar InControl App on my phone allows me to locate my F-Pace from anywhere in the World and my route back to it. Even allows remote locking and starting.
Still not as good as seeing a 'proper' Jaguar when I do get back to it.
Well Graham, My take is that if you need your phone to tell you where your car is, perhaps you left it too far from the Pub, or perhaps your in the wrong forum?
In Europe, I'd always spot my Daimler in a parking lot from the fantastic tail or the nose sticking out from the rest of the row. When I took it to US, I thought it had been stolen on a few occasions. In fact, it was hidden by a pick up. I never understood why people in Houston bought pick ups until one Friday when it started to rain, really rain and didn't stop till the following Monday.
