I have a 1985 'grey market' XJ very similar to this and it is not a rare or one of a kind sedan. I paid $500.00 USD for the car and it had been converted to the small block chevy and 700R4 setup. It is a long term project to get it running again (someday).

I don't think the car will bring $19,000.00 (more like $3000)

He thinks he's sittin' on a pot of gold. I suspect he's getting a brutal education on the market value of old Jags :-)

Cheers

Market value on old Jags is dependant on sedan or sport. My brother has a 1952 MK VII and is worth about $3,000 but an XK120 (pretty much the same car different body) in the same condition might bring $30,000. (go figure) The sedans always fetch ALOT less money than the sport models!!!!
