How do I remove the horizontal stainless trim at the top edge of the door (series 3)?

How do I remove the horizontal stainless trim at the top edge of the door (series 3)?

I need to do a bit of touch up to the paint at the top edge of the door and I don't want to damage anything by making an incorrect assumption about how to remove it. I'm sure there must be a proper way. Thanks.

first, don't do it, you will regret it.

second, do a careful and thorough masking tape job.

third, peel off the masking tape after painting.
