Default i knew it was gonna happen!

I opened my big mouth and said car had no issues, so of course one had to pop up! Got caught out last night in a storm, all was fine until i got home and turned off wipers, they stopped exactly.where i turned them off!!!
So my wipers no longer park,
I dont think that I'm even going to bother fixing it, i am able to get them into correct spot by using intermittent mode.
Oh i also found another issue, but its nothing that a wall and a screwdriver cant fix, headlights are askew! They seem.to be pointing about 6 feet in front of car, had.to use high beams to see!!

Think I saw a thread that said if wipers only park from intermittent mode that is indicative of needing a new wiper switch on the column. Of course you can always just go from intermittent to off. Or not drive in the rain! 😀

See, Darren! You Mustn't tempt the Jaguar gods with such optimistic statements!! That's like flinging down a challenge!

You must Carefully word your commendation/praise of these cars so it's not readily recognized except by those of us 'in the know.' LOL

I don't drive mine in the rain so I can't even sympathize with you except in general terms.

it might be the black ground wire that comes into the switch.

Default must be nice!

For all you folks that dont drive their cars in the rain, i can say honestly that i wont take the jag if its raining, but i live in florida, so getting caught out in it happens quite frequently. I even had to use it for work last week! I work in construction, (well sort of, i run the warranty dept of a custom home builder) had to go downtown orlando to set up workers in a fancy schmancy condo that we did, however i drive a 2014 ford e250 van with massive.ladder racks that lift ladders from.side onto roof! It wouldnt fit.in the parking garage!!! So i went home and got jag! Its funny how differently you get treated when you pull up in a nice car versus a.work van!!!

Wow thats offtopic! Lol

I refuse to get another work truck for this reason. I like being respected in the way the jag gets. I've alway driven hot rods and classics(1939 chevy coupe, 60 chevy stepside, 40 ford truck, 35 oldsmobile.....on and on), but the RESPECT I get from the jag is not the conversation I got from the classics.

My wipers have been doing that since I got my '85 xj6. I thought that it was just the way it was. Always learning. As for respect, A contractor said he was paying me to much when I pulled up for a measurement in the Jag. I had to explain to him my very good e-bay purchase.

I had that happen on my XJS.

Here is how I fixed mine:

SKjagtech - Jaguar new & used parts, servicing and support for all models.

It is a somewhat tedious job, but it worked in my case.

Good luck!

Thanks!!!!

As the Jaguar is almost slicked up, I used it for a couple of errands yesterday. It purred. Windows and waxing to go. oh, and redo of speedo pulse converter. Passenger scuttle still open.

I've been out in moderate rain in my car. Surprised. Usually Jeep is my choice for use in bad weather. Odd, the Jag blades are puny when compared to those on the Jeep. But, good enough.

Blade park not always automatic, but doable.

RainX on both cars a big help.
