I'm Back
I'm back on the road. Actually it's been a month or so, but I've been real busy.
so I have a couple parts I need and I am not having much luck finding.
1 is the air flow meter.
2 is cig lighter adapters.
3 is an antenna
4 is a place to get keys made, I think all I have is a Valet key(?) that's really worn out as bad as the door key.
Been cutting and buffing my baby the last few days. I understand why Lacquer based primer and paint isn't used any more. the lacquer cracks are extremely bad but at least it shines so bright now that you can't really see them.

is the car a 1968 to 1987 XJ-6 ? if yes, these cars did not come with Bilstein shocks from the factory, a previous owner must have installed Bilstein.
if you want good used parts, you can contact David at Everyday XJ
if you want new parts, contact SNG Barrat USA store: SNG Barratt - The Ultimate Jaguar Parts Specialist
what do you mean by cig lighter adapters?

Congratulations getting back on the road! I have no idea how much longer Nix will be in OR. We're 3 months longer than my longest estimate as it is.
I went to a lock smith to get extra keys made for Nix. None of the hardware stores had proper blanks. I think he used Fiat blanks but he did a good job and they all work well.

Yup, I just did the key thing. I got an entire ignition switch with key from David Boger.
great condition, nice and tight, not sloppy loose like my old one.
The local ACE hardware has a nice key section. The computer ID'd the blank. But, it was not in their rather large collection.
So, off to the local locksmith. Quickly ID'd ILco FT6R blank. Cut, butnished and luberd my lock. works a charm.
The duplicated key to my old ignition is a Taylor F81F, it appears. Still need it as it works the driver door lock!!

Sorry to everyone for the long delay in response. I've had computer problems.
I don't know what came stock as far as the shocks go.
The lighters in European cars is a little bit bigger and all the cig. Adapters don't fit right. But that's all good, cause I modified a generic one and you can't tell it's not stock.

Thank you. I'll get on these and see what I can come up with. Thanks again.

the original shocks in the Series 3 XJ-6 (1980-1987) were made by Girling. but Girling is no longer in business.
Girling was the equivalent of Monroe/Gabriel in the US. Something like that. Do not bother with Boge shocks, they don't last. If you want a nicer expensive shock and you can afford them, get SPAX shocks.
