The last time I drove the S3 I nearly froze my *** off. I managed to figure out that my Delanair amplifier had gone kaput, so I ordered the Jag-Aire rocker switch, and installed it a week later. Today it was cold, but Im extremely happy to report that I was able to switch from cold to hot with the touch of a button. Tearing everything apart allowed me to clean up a bunch of hidden areas too. I will say that I kept holding the button in 5 sec intervals until I heard servos stop. The travel was pretty long and I kept thinking that something was going to break. But once I heard it stop and I was able to go back in the opposite direction with no issues I stopped worrying. I did also manage to figure out why my rear window had quit working. The harness had been unplugged at some point. The window works just fine.
Great to see another solution to a bad amplifier. I posted another solution wherein I bought an amplifier built for me by Allen (novom2001@yahoo.com). He's got a video that shows how to install his without removing the original amp. It's controlled by the original dash climate control dial so there's no additional switch.
