Boy, I haven't seen stakedowns in ages now. And it's been years since I've installed them. You might check a few of the aftermarket guys like Coventry West in your state, or Motorcarsltd.

XKS Unlimited (San Luis Obispo, Ca) lists it in their catalog.

The stakedown kit for the XK engine consist of six metal plates each mounted with two bolts that screw into the cylinder head. Each metal plate overlaps two tappet guides - the tappet guides (I believe made of steel) are sunk into the aluminum head - it's a press fit. When Jaguar increased the cooling system operating temperature (higher temp. thermostat) for emissions reasons, the press fit didn't work so well over the longer term any longer, resulting in the tappet guides working themselves loose and being hit by the camshaft - with - obviously - not good results for the engine.

I personally have never seen an intake tappet come loose but I have seen the intake tappets with the kit installed. I have replaced the loose exhaust guides that were really damaged and just installed the hold down kit with good results.
