Default plate under floor pan

Hi
I am trying to replace floor pans on my XJ12C. Not much left of the old ones. I got new repair panel (which had to be shortened as it was made for LWB)
On the original there is a plate underneath floor, towards the front. Some reinforcement maybe? Seems to have had some welded nuts as well (fixation for handbrake wires?). Hard to tell since most of it has returned to nature. I tried to take a picture from left floor.
Can anyone with healthy original floor take a picture of this part?
thanks
Marcus

3 nuts near forward center of car are for the gas pedal attachment, which may or may Not be in the correct position for your car (they weren't for mine but gave me an idea of what was right).

I only had to replace the Left (Driver) floor as it had largely returned to its original molecular composition and I was about to become Wilma Flintstone, but it's entirely possible these are made for both Left of Right hand driver cars.

That would simplify inventory, just attach throttle pedal nuts for everything.

As LNR said, it is a reinforcement plate to help make the floor more rigid beneath the driver's feet. XJSs have themm as well, but in our case nothing to do with the throttle pedal. They are a NOTORIOUS rusttrap, so once on the car, I recommend rustproofing and then filling the cavity with RTV or some sort of gunk to keep the mud out of the gaps.

PO's trust or ignorance in just leaving your Jaguar with the "garage guy". It's all better now.

Whenever I have to have the car jacked up, new tires for example, or mufflers, I'm a real, um, "Flamin' Red Head" about riding them how Exactly to jack it up. And then I Watch them to see they do it right.

Hi all
Thanks for the advice. I will try to recreate the right side based on what is left on left side. Like many other things on this car it seems to be designed to rust as fast as possible..
Goal of 2022 is to repair right side of the car.. When that is done maybe I have learned how to weld properly.

Now the right floor pan is ready to go into the car. (have to finish other things in the car before that happens)

- Shortened the floor pan ~10cm to fit in a SWB. Use the piece I cut off as a reinforcement plate on top side. Easier to weld it like that for an amateur like me.
- Made a new reinforcement plate for front side
- Plugged the large holes that didnt seem to have any useful purpose. Just put small plates from the top.

Will have to do the same on left side eventually. Any improvement ideas anybody?
Thanks for the support from everybody!
/Marcus
