Power Windows Not Working

Power Windows Not Working
The power windows on my 1987 XJ6 III have stopped working but my sunroof still operates. I replaced the relay but that didn't help. The master "child-proof" switch works, as it can be used to prevent opening of the sunroof. However, the neither the front nor rear windows are working. Since replacing the relay didn't work and the master switch seems to be working, any suggestions as to what my process of elimination should be moving forward? The toggle on the front passenger switch is broken but I cannot see why that would cause the other windows not to work. Any ideas?

test the rear windows using the rear seat's console switches. if the rear windows work with the rear console switches, the problem is usually the front switches corroded inside. Remove each switch, disassemble them and clean the brass contacts inside them.

Thanks for the suggestion, however, the rear seat console switches also do not work. Only the sunroof and lock out switches work.

ok, next step is to replace the broken switch with one of the others, preferably one from the rear seat, to confirm the broken driver's switch is not preventing the others from acting.

In addition to Jose's suggestion, when you have the switches out get your 12v test light out and see if one of the pin sockets has power. Note the ignition has to be on. If you see no power on any of the leads you know the problem is up stream (towards the fuses) from there. If you do have power at the switch then the problem is probably the switch, or if they are ok, between the switch and the window.
Do you have the s57 wiring diagrams? They will tell you which color wire does what.

https://jagupgrades.webstarts.com
What I have discovered is that Google is possibly blocking sites that refuse to pay them to add the "S" after the "HTTP". The browser "Chrome" particularly, which is owned by Google. I contacted Webstarts, my service provider, who tells me Webstarts is already SECURE and they explained what could be happening when "www" is used instead of "https". Use the above link from now on. My site is secure, no spam, no ads, no re-directs, nada.
