I am in parts search hell. I need a new gasket for the trunk lock cylinder. Looked for it with other terms as well: boot, seal, etc. and cannot find it or an original part number. The one place I located them in stock in the UK charges £6 for it, which I can live with, but £40 (!) shipping to stick it in an envelope and mail it to the US. Anyone know who stocks one stateside or at least the original part number? Little bugger looks like this.
Thanks.
I can't tell exactly what it's made from, maybe a cork/rubber composite? I have usually had good luck making odd gaskets, etc. Thin walled electrical conduit is very good for use as a hole punch if you sharpen the end with a taper. 1/2" and 3/4" might do for I.D. and O.D. The square notches could happen with pocket knife, box cutter, chisel, etc. Good luck.

Dave, they're plain rubber. I can't tell if it originally had a lip to conform to the lock body or not. I'm thinking it may have to be a craft project as well.
