Default Series III Belt Sizes?

Hi Guys,

I've had a good search within the forum as well as on Google without much luck. (please point me in the right direction if I'm wrong).

Firstly, am I correct in assuming that the belts below are correct for my car (1985 Series III):

1. EAC1616 Alternator
2. EAC1349 Air-Conditioner
3. EAC 1348 Power Steering / Fan / Waterpump
4. EAC1324 Air Pump

Does anyone know the actual generic sizes for these belts? The parts store is not sure what I'm talking about. They don't have the old Jag in their computer. So they say to bring in the samples. I'd like to buy the belts before I take the old ones off.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Well a quick update.

It seems that the EAC 1348 Power Steering / Fan / Waterpump is an AVX 10 x 825 (10mm x 825mm) belt according to my research. Can any one confirm this and does any one have any idea on the others?

Jeez this is hard information to find?

Sorry I can't help. When I had a Ser III I never measured the belts.

Cheers

Thanks for that. I think I am going to have to pull them on Saturday and take them in as samples. The other belts I can not find the sizes. I will be sure to measure the belts and post them here for everyone to have access.

It's a little ridiculous that all we have is a proprietary part number. That's no good.

Update:

The only correct size of all the above is the A/C belt. The rest are all wrong. I bought all the belts as per above, took the old ones off the car and nothing.

Will update tomorrow with the correct sizes for everybody's reference.

Yes, I was afraid of that.
As I wrote it is my wholesaler who gave the size of these belts, and they are apparently NOT experts in Jaguar.

Sorry

The next beer is on me ;-)

I just ordered a set for my jaguar, then we will see if they match it!

Not the air blower it's not installed on my Jag.
