Success on stripping paint off Kents
I used Aircraft Remover paint stripper made by Kleen Strip. This is the blue can. I have used this stuff for over 20 years and always have some on hand. I globbed it on and let it sit about 15 minutes. That's all it took. I used a piece of 0000 steel wool and scrubbed lightly then rinsed. It was clean aluminum but there was a few spots of corrosion. I used a piece of red scotch brite and scuffed in the same direction as the factory mill lines and it cleaned off the corrosion. I used some Mothers Mag and Aluminum polish on a rag and it started bringing out a luster. Going to get a new Powerball and hit it hard. My old powerball fell apart from dry rot. This is just one wheel but wanted to do a test.
