Question Tank interchange switch not latching

Went for a drive today - ok to the liquor store, and switched the tanks and the switch would not latch. Holding it in, the level gauge would work, but not sure if the tanks did actually switch. Does anyone know if the changeover solenoid feeds back to latch the switch, or do I just need a a new switch. I'll probably end up replacing all the 3 solenoid valves anyway!

start with a good switch. A non-latching switch is broken.

Yep, time for a new switch, the hold in / latch is strictly mechanical.

Cheers,

The latching of the switch is mechanical. I had the same problem and found a small plastic part had broken, preventing the switch from latching. I was able to repair it with glue.
