Tiny Black Pieces that look like filter bits
I was running my ac yesterday which is finally back up and running and I noticed a bunch of little black foam pieces blowing out the vents. I assume this is a filter for the air but I can't find where it was originally. Anyone know?
At various places the ductwork has foam bands to seal the joints. The foam dries out, disintegrates, and get blown thru the system. Very common. There's no filter on the Series I-II-III cars

Right, nothing to do...unless you want to disassemble all the ductwork to remove the dried out foam and replace with new. Big job; you probably have better things to do.
What's loose will blow thru into the car and into your face. In a few years some more might come loose.

If they really bother you, put the shop vac hose up to the vent and draw pout as much loose foam as possible.
It would not bother me a bit. The thing works, that is what counts!!!
