Dear friends, I have been looking into the correct length of the wiper blades because mine were too long and overhanging, especially on the nearside.(UK)
They were supplied a few years ago by a local supplier and were 17 inches on both sides.
I have found that the driver's side should be 15inches (400mm) and has part number DAC6135.
The passenger side should be 14inches (357mm) part number DAC10273.
I hope that this helps.
By the way, I think that later models, ie the X300 version of the XJ6 may use 22inch blades.

For those of us in the colonies, do wipers there pivot from their right hand side?

 

I assume that for LHD models, the wipers park on the rhs. In the UK, being RHD, they park on the lhs.
You can confirm this if you wish being from the US of A !

Indeed my LHD parks them to the right. I never thought about them likely being reversed on RHD models until your post.

 

This is so because the X300 has only a single wiper.

 

Well, I can confirm that my LHD S3 wipers "park" to the right.


If need be, post PM or here, and I'll put a tape on them. In inches.
though. Not sure I have a metric rule!!!!


Mine got a bit of a work out. Rain only light, so they coped. The
Rain X performed beautifully.....

DAC6135 are 15" 3/4 long

 

In my left hand drive XJ-6, I use a 16" inch on the left side, (the one closest to the center of the glass,) and a 15" inch on the right side, to eliminate the overhang over the bright trim.

 

Interesting, my LHD series 1 wipers park on the LHS. I had assumed they were both 16", now I'll have to break out the tape. LOL.

Hi, both of mine on my 1976 series 2 , are 14" ,RHD, but the wipers park on the right hand side which is strange .

Series 2, Left wiper blade 12 inches long, Center blade is 15 inches long, and they park on the Left.
I did that deliberately so the Left blade didn't hang over the side of the car looking dumb and doing nothing.
I have full coverage on the Rare occasion I use them.
