Default Would a series 3 bonnet fit a series 2?

Title says it all, Would a series 3 xj6 bonnet fit onto a series 2 xj6?

Also here is a few pictures of my progress series 2 xj6 , First attempt at re-doing the interior. Doing the Leather/Vinyl in black next along with the door cards and seats.

End goal im wanting full black interior bare metal gloss black paint job with a ford 460 turbo v8 1500hp under the bonnet so a sleek black xj6l sleeper not everyones cup of tea but I love my original mint condition xj6l series 2 so much I wanted another with a tad more power and my personal touch.

Before and after photos of the old roof lining and trim also dash shifter gauges etc

I'd have thought absolutely no chance but David Manners Jaguar Spares in the UK are quoting exactly the same Part Number for both Series II and Series III bonnets:

Superb job on the headlining.
Got to ask - is that shifter made from a replacement hip joint?

Default Yes, check out the photo

Plus, the front fenders are going on the SII as well...old hood in the background was just about ready to crack off at the mounting spot...

Default Paint is better on the new hood than the car!

Thought it would be best to wait until the S3 front fenders are installed - would
make more sense to do it all at one time...

New owner is thinking of putting an English flag on the hood in the interim...

it will be over 1000hp fingers crossed, its a ford 460 bigblock v8 will be single turbo for now as turbos are 2grand each but twin turbo in future, have forge pistons rods worked heads etc just need few more bits and pieces and motivation to rebuild it. is around 600hp without the turbo. the engine will be similar to this guys build except mine will have more head work and more mods so will be making more power

That is what my plan is anyway then eventually build the body to show car condition after more experience and more money. As this is only my second car i have done myself and am doing it the cheap way as im always tight on money
.
These photos here are of the 300zx i done up when i was 17. before and after photos everything done by me with no help from others (:, paint costed around $500 in total for 2 paint jobs, interior the blue vinyl i got for $20 done myself the seats were $200 chrome interior was around $150 was a very cheap and great end product which is what im hoping my series 2 will turn out like on a very tight budget

what it looked like when i brought it
