The fuel tanks are painted and ready. In a spare part catalogue I saw that edge protections shall (?) be mounted along the edges.

-> Is this how it was originally? (mine did not have it when I removed the tanks).

Al my Series cars had it from memory???, as did the S Type and MK10, not sure on the MK7, never looked, and the bells are ringing for the XJS's also, and I think???? I got replacements from an Auto Upholsterer who had it on the roll in different colours.

Toooo many years ago to be specific.

 

Ok, thanks. I guess it makes sense to protect the edges. Hopefully it wont collect water...
