Default LED Turn signal indicator lights on the dashboard

Hi Sarc, I know this is an older posting (I found it with the search tool). My turn signal indicator lights on the dashboard are way to dim. In the daytime I can't see them flash but can see them at night. Do you by any chance have an LED part number for them. My car is a series 3. BTW, your thread included a video of XJ6 dashboard removal. That's a video I shot and posted. Glad it helped.

I haven't seen this thread before and as a fellow XJC owner I would like to say Thank You! For taking the time to post as you did!

I'm looking at those ash tray's as opportunity's now instead of dead space!

Rusty.

I to am also going to a 5 speed Via XJR6 + Getrag 5sp. (all real Jag Parts) Gosh I hope it works!

Default Rubber gasket/seal source?

I am starting a 1976 XJ12C restoration myself. One question I have is where did you get all of the new rubber seals & gaskets? Every piece of rubber on this car is shot. I would really like to just buy a complete kit that has every piece I need (vs. having to buy each piece separately) Any idea who offers something like that?

I didn't find a kit. In general the coupe specific parts are not well documented even by Jaguar so it's usually a hunt for each piece. I documented the ones I changed in the thread. The coupe specific seals are only the side window seals and some of the door seals. Is there one in particular you are struggling to find?

Default Just getting started

I don't have a specific piece in mind. I just realized I need everything and figured buying a complete kit would be cheaper and less time consuming. I have seen complete kits for the e-Types. Figured there might be on for the coupe. I guess I just need to start making a comprehensive list. Thx

Talk to SNG Barratt. They may be able to put together a kit for you. Get their catalog, or download it and print out the pages you'll need parts from. Highlight and price off their website.
David Boger may be able to help out with some misc. pieces as well, although coupe specific pieces he may not have. Everyday XJ

Page 57 of their XJ6/12 parts catalogue has a good coupe specific illustration :

As moronthethrottle said, best to give them a call armed with the parts numbers.

Thanks for all the help. Got all of my rubber bits ordered today. One more thing, I am trying to locate the chrome strip that is normally attached to the leading edge of the right rear quarter glass of the coupe. The metal part that holds the rubber seal between the two side windows. The passenger side one is missing. Can you even get it without buying a whole quarter window?

Thanks

Eric

hi Sarc, great info. Thank you.

I am in the process of doing my S2 XJ6L and I've heard great things about the Lseat covers. I think I will try those.

I was wondering where I can get seat cushions/foams for these seats. Mine are completely gone and will need to be replaced. I got a quote for $700~ per seat and that isn't something I am willing to do. DIY sounds like the order of the day.

any suggestions would be awesome!

Merry Christmas to you.

Thanks for posting the dash light replacement, and the included details. The Opticell system on my 77 XJC is essentially inoperative, and the control switches are all dark as well. I imagine the HVAC illumination can be replaced with the same LEDs used for the ignition/headlight units? I have plans to pull the dash pad and have it recovered, so I can do this at the same time. Thanks.
