1992 xjs convertible rear speakers

You have to remove the rear cubby (stowage area) to remove that rear speaker. The service manual sort of glosses over "remove the rear quarter trim panels". I recall having to remove the plastic trim piece at the end of the sill plate. Then pull back the furflex out of the way. Seems like there is at least 1 visible screw somewhere on the rear quarter panel. And there is a plastic screw/finisher that is visible behind the rear quarter windows on each side (windows have to be down obviously). Then the panel should pop out - it is held in by the push in pull out plastic rivets like a door panel. Then remove the cubby per the manual.
When removing the door panel, you have to pull back the chrome finisher at the front of the arm rest to expose a torx bolt. Use some tape to protect the leather, or a lubricant safe for leather to make it easier.
