Default 1995 XJS Convertable Parts

Several years past I purchased a set of retaining clips for the ski slope switch cluster. All my parts vendors searches have returned no hits. Anybody have a source for these bits?

Thanks,

Jim

Jim,

If its the bezel for the 3 switches (windows & hood), then just buy it from Jaguar. Part number BCC2303. Order online for collection from your local dealer & no shipping charges. See the part on Jaguar's website here:

Not the bezel. The 2 retaining clips that hold the windows up/down and top up/down switch cluster to the ski slope. They are plastic and break every time the switch cluster is removed.

You mean the two clips that come as part of each switch?

I have never been able to make the switches with plastic clips work on my car. Only the OEM metal ones work. Are you working with switches with plastic clips?

Do you mean the clips that are part of the 3-switch bezel and hold the bezel to the ski slope? If so, they are just part of the plastic bezel.

If so, you're right, it's difficult to remove that bezel without breaking the plastic. It's why a lot of us actually remove the ski slope each time, rather than try and take out the switches first.

The local euro shop removed the cluster to trouble shoot the wiring. The shop has not located a source for replacements. I purchased a pair way back. Don't have a record of the vendor. Searching Jag parts sites has returned no hits. They are plastic. Have never seen metal clips.

Do your individual switches look like those? That could be your problem. That's the difference between the cheap aftermarket switches and the more expensive OEM switches.
