Default 85 XJ-S - Front Fog Lights - Wiring?

Hey guys,
Thinking of fitting the front fog lights to my XJ-S. Will it have the wiring already? What should I look for and where abouts?

Thanks

They have two wires I think one is black which is earth the other is red and yellow. They go into a largish round plug that is red. They come through a grommet under the headlight. Best I can remember. I will try and get a photo of connector tomorrow. This is on an 89 convertible. UK. Hope this helps

The connectors are red on my 91 convertible. They were tucked in a hole behind the front indicators. I’m sure mine were stolen at some point as the complete plugs were there and the wire cut through.
Rob.

I''m going to look now. Mine is an older XJ-S I'd be surprised if it has the wires and plugs hiding in there. But I am hopeful.

Thanks will let you know.

Hi guys!
So, I have found 1 singular input for the 'bullet' shaped silver wire connector. Its NOT the large yellow plastic connection of the later years.

But it is there!!!!

Another question that I should really post separately. Do all the cars have the headlamp washer ability? Mine is an 85 any ideas????

Thanks again

mine is an 88 and i have them. I have no idea if they work or not though.

I also have fog lights and they dont work. might be bulbs out or bad connections. not high on the list of things to do yet

Not all pre-facelift H.E. cars had the headlight washer/wiper system. Some models had them as standard, on some models they could be specified as an extra, on some models they were not offered at all.

Thanks for this, I think mine is a basic model being 3.6 Manual. Also there are no electric seats or cruise control.... So I think simple.

I can live without the headlamp washers. I just saw them on youtube and thought they looked cute

Thanks anyway
