Default Aircon Fascia connections

I have purchased an Elm wooden radio and aircon fascia to replace the black. When removing the old black radio fascia four “wire plugs” fell out of their respective connections two each end of the facia. On the left side was the aircon temp settings and the right is the fan speeds auto etc.
im now putting the new fascia on but the 4 “wire” sit loosely and dam hard to hold in. Cannot see what they connect to. Excuse my ignorance but am I to presume these are vacuum tubes as no electrical connectors are evidenced. Before I stuff it up completely would learned people confirm they are vacuum tubes and how do they work.

Many thanks in anticipation

Mike

Yep I will Greg, but it’s a very cold icy night here in Gods Own, do it tomorrow.

Greg. Picture of the “wire” fittings as described. Note the RH side has a small lead weight for pic purposes.

These are the fibre optic light sources for the aircon panel switches. They plug into slots behind the aircon fascia plate.

Thanks Greg. After posting my thread and pics I realised they were probes. I had to glue them in but I kept the sharp end cleaned. Now re installed, took car for a run, the aircon now works better than ever, heating cooling very precise. I do recommend the Myrtle products, they are brilliant. Fascia fitted perfectly.

thanks again
Mike
