Default another leaky '88

Hi Folks,
Continuing the chase on water leaks...as well as removing rear glass to re-seal, found both drain tubes in trunk plugged down in quarter panel wells. With this being a non sunroof car ('88 XJS), where do these drain tubes originate?
Thanks,
Seann

I believe theres 3 tubes with entry points on passenger side back behind the trunk seal, another connected to the radio assembly and a third top corner driverside also up near the seal all obscured by a closed trunk lid, or the third driverside drain tube starts in your fuel cap area. My car is in the shop so I'm going on memory.

Its worth pulling out the carpet down in the quarter panel areas where these drain hoses are connected, I've found water there before.

Hello
On the left and right hand side of the boot has these 2 drain line. There is a rubber hose that connects them that goes through the boot and exits from the bottom of the sill behind the rear tyres. My drains have obviously clogged up at some point - introducing water in the boot and rusting out both of these sills.

My question is - do these drains really need to be there - If we plug these holes up - I cannot see why the water just would not drain along the edge of the boot seal.

My 1980 is just about to go for the rust removal process - would be the ideal time to do away with these 2 drains.

The third drain from the fuel filler cavity is required - as water can sit here
