Default Another XJS :)

Just picked up a really rare, 1995 XJS 4.0l coupe 125k and its perfect. goes great with my red 86 xjs. Am i crazy?
three issues, the instruments gauges all work the batt gauge moves around and the others move when somthing turns on/off. the next is, Just sorta fixed the right blower from not on to always on high.. the whole climate system works when it wants but always blows air which is good, and it looks like the front aux fan isnt working other then that its perfect.
Shes a looker.

Nice car
What is rare about a 95 4 litre? low build numbers?
The revised rear window glass really gives the flying buttress C pillar a lighter look, at least in that colour and from that angle. I like it.
I am on the slow lookout for a facelifted XJS but I want a 6 litre. None for sale in NZ for the past few months..

Al I think "rare" refers to the fact that it's a 95 4litre, "coupe".

Very nice car!

The front electric fan is set to come on at like 220 or so. Most of us have modified them to come on with the A/C.

The wandering voltage gauge is going to be either poor connections (disconnect your battery and check your connections at the alternator and firewall) if its not that them it's the ignition switch connector. Which you can eliminate.

Your A/C sounds like the climate control ECU is bad or a potentiometer.

Good luck

Wonderful facelift coupe! ... and the color is exquisite...

I, too, believe that you may have an intermittent connection to the instrument cluster assembly, and since everything appears to be moving rather randomly, you may be looking at a fretting ground feed to the cluster.

XJR6, pre and post facelift XJS', etc....nice collection.

Cheers!

Its under your steering wheel. Big dark connector with white wires. Mospeople eliminate the connector and solder the wires together in these.
