Default Boot liner fasteners required

Today I replaced 2 tail lights and the chrome strip that runs above them on my 94 XJS 2+2. This was a big accomplishment for me as I am fairly new to automotive DIY and I was pleased with how things went, however I managed to break 2 of the plastic fasteners that hold the boot liner to the lid. Can anyone recommend a source for these.....I searched the web and I couldn't believe the variety of these types of fasteners that are out there.

Thanks.

There are a couple of different fasteners in the liner, a 1/4 turn fastener and a fir tree fastener. Here is the parts diagram, pick the appropriate colour and plug the part number into google.

If you don't care about the color match being exact, just take your broken fastener to an auto parts store, they will probably have something to fit.

BTW, if you don't already have one, a trim removal tool is cheap insurance against breaking these fasteners

Thanks Allan, I will check it out. I have the tool, but didn't realize that the 1/4 turn just required a screw driver so I broke the first one and even with the tool I managed to break 1 for tree.

I've been scouring the web for a 1/4 turn and a fir tree fastener in this color for quite some time now, but have had no luck. Does anyone have a couple of these on a parts car that they would be willing to part with?

Thanks

The fasteners on the eBay link look kind of like a "W", whereas the 1/4 turn one I need is "L" shaped. The other is. Got tree fastener.

Shame though....the color is bang on.

Default Boot Liner fasteners

eBay has a seller that deals in Jaguar items. His store is in the name GOORGEN PALANG. Maybe this can be of assistance in your search for boot fasteners.
