Default Brake Master Cylinder - replace or rebuild?

master cylinder has been leaking for a while, I have a new Centric branded master cylinder I haven't been able to install as I could never find the proper seals/elbows required for the lines to the reservoir.

I finally found a factory Lucas rebuild kit (thanks Ebay) that includes elbows/seals.

Would you rebuild the original master or use the aftermarket one?

Personally I'd have the original re-sleeved in stainless, then rebuild using the kit.. There are companies who offer this service e.g : https://www.classiccar-brakes.co.uk/...nder-sleeving/

That would be a good option if parts weren’t available or the bore was damaged, i suspect the bore will be fine but wont know until its apart.

The one in the car has lasted 40 yrs, sleeving probably overkill for this situation.

i would hate to have it leak again, ive already touched up the damaged paint once already, real pain in the butt taking everything apart to paint.
