Cal you can use XJ40/X300 parts there are a few differences, the outer fulcrum shaft is smaller than the XJS so you will need to sleeve the XJS control arms, and fab up the park brake mechanism. They even come with a spacer that goes where the IB disc would be.

Apart from that it is a bolt in job I have the parts from an X300 sitting in my shed ready for an OB conversion

sounds like a plan to me, I might use the outboard hubs and fab up brackets to mount z06 or cts-v brakes all around just to keep.it consistent

Pre XJ 40 Series III XJ6 saloon inboard braked rear axle cars' rear calipers are identical to the same XJS calipers. Front 4 pots too.

Fifteen pounds off each upright is amazing!
This makes the entire front suspension wear much longer and the handling must be much better, too....

Default Wilwood front calipers and rotors

Wilwood has radial mount adapter brackets that bolt directly to the 3.5" mounting ears on the stock Jaguar spindle. Has anyone tried radial mount calipers custom spaced for 12" or 13" rotors with a proper off-set hat and rotor assemblies? It would be similar set-up as AP Racing's kit but more affordable and with many more caliper and rotor options.

Could you post a link or a part number for this bracket please? I have always wanted a lighter caliper, but never found a part that would enable them to be fitted.

Thanks

AFIK there is nothing off the shelf as a bolt on upgrade for the jaguar brakes except for the DB7 Volante. That vehicle used a XJ / XJS spindle with custom Brembo calipers and 13 inch rotors. It's a bolt on if you can find a set.

Default Wilwood radial mount caliper option?

I haven't done enough homework to determine mounting dimensions and offsets but Brembo/AP Racing brake systems are priced beyond my budget so I'm thinking of adapting something from Wilwood's many offerings. Here's just one example of an affordable radial-mount caliper with a large piston area. With the proper axial and radial positioning of the 3.5" adapter bracket (or a custom bracket) and the right combination of rotor and hat off-sets, it seems possible to build a relatively strong and light big-brake upgrade.
