Default Brake Warning Light

What is the red BRAKE warning light on the instrument cluster trying to tell me? I don't have an owners manual and it doesn't seem to be in the ROM. I've changed everything in the braking system aside from the hard lines, master cylinder, and fluid reservoir. The car is a 1987 V12 coupe.

I believe it may have something to do with the wiring in the hand/parking brake... Is that possible?

I have a brake light that illuminates while the pump is building charge/pressure and separate (yellow) for ABS and I believe a separate red Ebrake light, just to tell me that the parking brake is engaged.

Shine a strong light at your warning lights on the dash, and see if you have more than one red "brake" warning indicator lights/indicators. I think there are two.

It denotes low fluid in the reservoir, (or a failed reservoir switch/wiring shorting out the feed to earth).

Yes, there are two. One is for PARKING BRAKE and one is for BRAKE. The parking brake is pretty self explanatory, I'm not sure what the other one is trying to warn me about. Is there a brake fluid level sensor somewhere that could be faulty? The brakes work really well, Iv'e done 130 miles so far, but I'd rather not have the light lit up unless there's an actual problem.

Sometimes its the simple things. The fluid level was at the Low line, but more importantly the float in the reservoir wasn't floating. I added some fluid and prodded the float. I think its full of fluid because its not floating very high up, but it is high enough to turn out the light.

Ok, Good! So you GOT it!?

Is the float on some kind of post/guide/stand? In other words is there something there that you can see that the float rides on?
