Was the XJS ever Supplied with a Factory Option of Chromium Wheel Arc Trims or were they ever available as some sort of 'Bolt on Goody' and if so where from?
Not a Fan of these Wheel Arch Trims, as I feel they could be hiding something ie Rust

I remember these as a kid on Lincoln Town cars, and Mercedes Benz’s. I don’t dislike them however I would never put a set on my Jaguar. The problem as I see it is that after so many years if the vehicle was left outside or driven in the rain I could see moisture getting behind those and definitely causing rust.

But all those USA citizens on here who actually own Jaguars are ipso facto among the sector of your population who have demonstrated that they have impeccable taste!
I bought an XJS with the extra chrome. I took it off and … amazingly… zero rust. There were merely two screw holes per, on the inside lip. Buffed up the area where it touched and you’d never know they were there.
My wife said those had to stay, and since it is an Arkansas car and we don't have rust issues (salt) I spent the money for a "New Set" since I could never find the single one I had missing. To each their own, and as long as they aren't harming anyone, so be it. I personally like them, and I have excellent taste! And no I can't stand beer! Clydesdale Pee in a can! What the heck you think Budweiser keeps them around for??? LOL! I was just trying to be funny. Guess I'll just have a couple more "Mikes Hard Lemonade" Black Cherry Please, and watch the fireworks!
Chrome wheel arch trims are a sign of Americans' poor taste in general, and addiction to Bling in particular.

Such a ridiculous comment?
You might want to visit Europe. The Mercedes and BMWs of the 70s and 80s certainly came with their share of chrome wheel trim.
Problem is they CAME LIKE THAT FROM THE FACTORY, the US dealers were the ones adding them to cars that didn't have them in order to charge more for them.

From my dealership days I very well remember the bling craze. Particularly on luxury/expensive cars. Mid-70s to mid-90s, roughly.
Opera lamps. Coach lamps. Gold kits. Halo tops. Faux convertible tops. Brougham packages. Designer editions. Wire wheel hubcaps. Landau bars. Window etching. Some of it factory installed, lots dealer-installed. People gobbled it up.
Taken singularly some of the stuff wasn't all that awful. But when you pile all of it on one car it looks pretty darn raunchy, IMO. Hideous is a better word, really.
