I'm almost done installing the new interior on my '87 XJ-S coupe but I'm stuck on one part. The climate control panel won't go all the way in. Its lined up with the knobs, but I can't get it far enough to screw the knob retainers in place and I won't know what its catching on. One option is that I used the wrong screws to hold the center console in place. It seems that I would want flathead screws, but the only screws I have that are big enough are panhead. I may just replace them anyway, but does anyone have any suggestions for things to check with this fitment issue?
