convertible, drivers rear 1/4 window will not work
On my ragtop, the to and windows were working fine until today. I was putting the top up and the drivers side rear 1/4 window would not go up or down. The other 3 windows operated as usual, but when the top was up the 2 rear window are suppose to close. Could there be a fuse for each window. I read about the thermocouple that is inline, but unless that is completely broken, that is not the problem. If it is a fuse, I can not find any information on where the fuse is located. I'd hate to think it is the motor. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I got to the relays and also the LH 1/4 window motor. Could someone tell me how to test the motor by hotwiring it. I remove the plug from the relay and used a hot wire from the positive side of the battery to jump the each of the 2 prongs in the plug holder to the motor, nothing other then a small spark. I tried one prong grounded and one to the hot, still nothing, but spark. I see that there are 3 wires coming from the relay, 1 black, one gray and one gray with white stripe. There are only 2 prongs on the other side of the plug that appear to connect to the black wire and the gray.
What would the proper way jump or hot wire the motor. thanks

Well there are a number of things you can do. First and simplest is to just swap the RH and LH down relays and try opening the top. If the LH window goes down but the RH doesn't then you have a bad relay.
If the condition remains the same, remove the relay (the top bit) from the base. Using a voltmeter or 12v test lamp, check that you have 12v on pins 86 and 87 on the base (green/purple wires). If yes, using a short piece of wire, jump pins 30 and 87 (green/red and green/purple). If the motor doesn't work then either the motor is bad or the wiring between the motor and relay.
You should download the electrical guide for your car, it's free and invaluable. Go to the "how to" sticky in this forum and click on electrical diagrams.
