Default Convertible top hydraulic hoses...where to buy

Hi all, since I had to pull my pump to replace the seal...I might as well replace the lines too...but where to buy the tubing/hose? This is for a 94 XJS...thanks in advance.

I'm watching your thread as I have the same issue. I am new to the forum also so I've been pouring through all the information the best I can.
My '89 has a hydraulic leak on the left side that I haven't dug into yet but the previous owner told me the leak was there and low and behold, there was a small, embarrassing stain on my garage floor in front of the LR wheel.
Hope you get an answer soon, I'll be watching.

I wound up purchasing a tubing set on ebay for around 100.00 USD as it came with the correct brass fittings. May have been able to do it for a few buck cheaper, but this was conveinent. I found the seal on ebay as well and replaced that. I'll be installing lines tomorrow...and that looks like a job getting to the cylinder.

Good deal! If you can, post a few pics of removing the interior panels. I'm going to be doing this in a few weeks.
After watching several videos on YouTube, it looks like I may have a leaking cylinder. I did see a post stating that the hydraulic cylinders may be rebuildable.
Good luck to ya!

So I removed the hydraulic cylinders this weekend. I removed the two rear panels by simply removing one of those push in nylon type panel fasteners. Once removed the panel sort of lift up where you can get access to the cylinders (93 XJS). One of my clinders appeared to have been leaking at some point in the past. I decided to remove both of them and look at them closely. They were easy to disassemble and once apart, there are just three orings that need to be replaced. I haven't sourced them yet, but the dust seal on the top of the cylinder is the hard to find part. The shaft is .50 inches, the od is .75 in. The seal portion narrows as it goes trough the cap, but that's not necesary and its about .125 thick. But the thickness can vary a bit as the seal just sort of gets pushed up into the cavity and held in place with a sort of large star washer type fastener. I removed the first cylinder and damaged the seal so bad that on the second one I used a pilot bearing in an attempt to remove it. This was a bad choice as it damaged the metal sleeve so bad I wound up ordering new cylinders on ebay. But these could be rebuilt. I did manage to see the seal as it should be without any damage. I'm going to try and source this seal and see if I can come up with a kit to rebuild these. In the meantime, I'm just waiting on the new cylinders.

Thanks for the update. Please keep track of how much fluid you will need to refill the system once complete.

Installed the new cylinders this past weekend. All went pretty smooth...One thing I would advise if you purchase new cylinders is to purchase the nylon bushings that go in the rodend of the extended portion. There must be a little tolerance difference with the old ones, they were difficult to install(used my vice), and then I had to file the rod end hole open a bit to get the pin back in...I wasn't aware they sold replacements until my buddy had to do his as well. I used probaby just under two quarts to fill the system. One less thing to worry about on this car. I used this to fill the chamber

Do you have a part number, or any detail on the bushings you’re recommending?

Thanks for coming back to fill us in on how it went.

That's not a bad price for those parts. Thanks for link and the additional info!
