Default Crossover pipe

I have a late watercentre filler pipe with a small diam pipe welded to its lower. Can this be used in anyway to replace the bleed pipe?

That spigot feeds the question mark hose and goes to the wing tank, as I am sure you know.
Either way, the purge system needs either a higher-than radiator-and-engine header tank (in which case it is redundant) or high pressure hot feed from the thermostat housing, as OEM. That spigot (I think) is fed from the pump so it would not be hot. Also where would the header tank get its feed from if this was used to power the purge system ?
I do not quite follow what sort of pipe you mean, do you mean without the centre spout as used on the XJ40/X300 V12 saloons? Also what are you aiming to achieve?
