We were putting the car back together today after swapping the GM400 out for a 700R4, and now none of the gauges work, nor does the trip computer. All dead. I've searched a few threads here and it would see there's a fuse (#4, main box) that controls all this plus the reverse lights (which we didn't check), but the fuse looks good.
We did not actually open up the instrument cluster or mess with any of the electrical that I know of. I've seen some reference made to adding extra grounding to the circuit to beef it up -- how is that done? Where do we need to tie in?
Any other suggestions are welcome. The thread I found here got off on a tangent about LED bulbs, and we didn't replace any of our bulbs so that doesn't apply to us.
What did you do with the selector inside the cabin?
This. There is a lot of little wires under that ski slope and I assume you put in a 4 spd shifter so maybe something got pinched or pulled under there?

Gear selector is gone. Replaced by a Kilduff Lightning Rod shifter. I'll go ahead and ask the follow-up question: Does it ground through the selector somehow? That would be my luck.

Well there's not much room in there as it was. I take it the radio and trip computer works fine.
