OK. Even since I bought the car a year ago, the engine temp always stayed between N and red line in stop&go traffic. It's slightly overheated. Highway driving however the temp is normal. I read numerous post on engine temp problems. Some said the fan clutch is bad. one member suggested to hose off the radiator.

So, I went ahead and washed the radiator with my garden hose. I noticed a lot of dirt were coming off with the water. It's been 2 weeks since I washed the radiator. The engine temp never goes above N at stop&go traffic anymore. I am amazed with the result. I hope this will help others with engine heating problem too.

 

Good work ! I've seen 'em where a full 30% of the core is completely clogged with leaves and debris.
