Got the new vacuum advance in place. new cam cover gasket, new rad pipe hoses, crossover pipe hoses, some new vacuum hoses, etc. new throttle linkage bushings. new injector o rings are on their way via rockauto. the crossover and fuel rail are gonna need polished again, thanks to this WV acid rain. got the ignition hooked up today and im thankful to say that it still works after my wiring job. the amp is gonna get relocated eventually. when the new o rings get here, the fuel injectors are getting bolted in, and the fuel rails going on. can NOT wait. if this all goes well megasquirt will be the next mod. if it doesnt go well then megasquirt will be the next mod. lol

ive also got a nice little chunk saved up for Johns 4 speed T700 conversion.
once the megasquirt happens, im gonna be picking up another set of inlets and fabricating a quad throttle body setup.
im also looking into mounting some L67 knock sensors on the block and running a dashmounted LED indicator.
trans cooler and master cyl rebuild are happening next.

Got the fuel rail on and the throttle assemblies. Got the linkages adjusted so there is absolutely no slop in the pedal or the valves. also got the kickdown switch adjusted to a hair trigger so i can grab the low gears as soon as i put my foot down.

Are you going to make the wiring better? Looks like a rat's nest.

of course. lol.
ive got about 100' of wiring loom i picked up at harbor freight for like $1.99/20ft.

i just FINALLY finished up the wiring today, and ill be ready to fire it up tomorrow, once i get the radiator pipe blasted, painted, and back on. it is a huge rats nest though. i tried really hard to keep it as clean and clutter free as possible.

Dave, I always liked how engine covers made things look so much cleaner, but I wondered how it affected heat retention on these motors?

The cover is vented, and I haven't had any trouble in almost 200k miles. The quantity of hoses, and wires in that area have been greatly reduced on the 6 liters. And what is there is of a more modern quality as well.

On my old '83, I cleaned up the Vee, and made a cover out of metal grating, that improved the look, but allowed air to flow...painted it black, and put a nice V 12 emblem on it. Don't have any pics of that one though.

Engine covers do look clean. And even though I'm a fan of losing external badging, I grin every time I see V12
