Default Engine cover color

Has Jaguar ever used this color scheme on engine cover (dark base, red and green letters)? Or this is repainted as I suspect:

The cam cover has been repainted. Maybe someone is trying something different to see if it doesn’t disintegrate into nothing like the rest of them do

I still would like to find a good-used AJ6 (1993-1994) aluminum cam cover to see what is needed to replace the AJ16 cam cover.
Magnesium is NOT a friendly material for cars or aircraft.

Back in the 1970s my buddy had his Type II VW (bus) catch fire and the fire dept just let it burn till the magnesium engine/transaxle quit burning.

I remember the Beechcraft Bonanza AD regarding the elevators etc.(AD Note 89-05-02) to replace with aluminum ASAP.

Back when I worked at the dealer I never got around to try the later AJ6 cam cover (EBC11564) on the AJ16 engine. (it was on my to-do list)

Just some coil fitting/mounting and they might fit?

...and the Red / Green letter combo isn't standard either.

Cheers

If only it was. I got lucky because I got a hold of a NOS cam cover a few years ago/ maybe 4000 miles ago, but I know they all eventually fall apart, and there is nothing that I know of to prevent that.

The later AJ6 cam cover (EBC11564) is exactly the same bolt pattern as the AJ16 so I will reserve judgement until I fit one myself.

The early cover is obviously different.

There is a EBC11565 on eBay right now. Would that work?

JDHT is weird with these numbers, they acknowledge the existence of a EBC11564, but not the 11565, which obviously exists!
