Default Euro/Oval headlight queston

I understand that pre-facelift and facelift cars have different PN's for the Euro/Oval headlights.
How hard would it be to install pre-facelift lights (with glass, not plastic lenses) in a facelift car?
It doesn't seem like it should be a big deal but "Ya Neva Know"!

I tried to do that with my 94 and found that the shapes were incompatible.
My memory of that could be flawed but I think the old bezels didn't match the 94 opening.
And the new bezels didn't match the older headlamps.
Didn't even get close enough for me to figure out the mounting issues.

Bummer - A friend has a pair of glass lensed pre-facelift lights for sale if anyone is interested.

Here they are. Brand new. He wants $250 for the pair. In the photo, one looks yellow but it's just the photo. They are both perfectly clear.
He also has these Driving lights. Used but like new condition.

WOW 250 a pair, In europe they are so rare that IF they are for sale they go for ~400$... each. Mine are not so good,(but still road-legal) so if anyone ever has some left and willing to ship to europe for a normal price....

nice find. The Euro spec headlights are way brighter than the DOT ones.

Do the american cars have a parking light? May have to plug that hole in the back

Yes- the euro lights on my 1989 do have the parking light hole. And there is a bulb in there- just not sure how it is wired. I assume these were added by a previous owner. There is some flaky wiring in the headlight area that I will eventually address.
