Default Exhaust pipe replacement

Hi,

Last time I had the car up on a lift I found several holes in the exhaust. I've got two pair (intermediate and final) stainless Magnaflow I wanted to install.

I already survived the dreaded Marelli mishap without losing the car (I had an astute passenger, it was night, and he asked me if I put red neons under the car while we were out driving. My right bank cat is completely melted inside.

So, my plans are to replace the cat's with straight pipes when I replace all the pipes in the exhaust.

Are there stock (like Walker brand) exhaust that run from the manifold/can's to the intermediate mufflers? I've found a sideways reference in one of the threads that there might be, but no specifics.

The car is a 1992 facelift convertible.

Cheers

I have a set of Walker non cat downpipes in my shed that were bought for my '89, they will not fit, too much vertical drop. I tried unsuccessfully to contact walker directly after having no luck with the retailer. I have email confirmation from that retailer confirming manufacture error and non fit issue but the bottom line is they do not fit.
I would suggest you look for "BELL" brand, stainless steel and they are a work of art, and bonus they FIT.

Totally agree. I have a Bell system downpipes to tail, and it is 10 or more years old and as good as it was when new. Really worth the money.

It was back in the very early 2000s, and from memory about 1300 UKP, fitted by a non franchised Jaguar specialist who is very good. No idea on current prices, my car does not have cats either, so that may make things more expensive. But the quality is astoundingly good, I had it off completely when I di my rebuild, and it was absolutely as good as new.
