It never ends.

Apparently the shop that replaced my fuel tank in my 96 XJS with the 4.0 engine forgot at least one of the spring clips that locks the fuel hose to the bottom of the fuel tank.

I remember reading somewhere that there was a AC Delco, or Ford clip that could be used....anyone remember? The OEM part number is CBC8294 and/or CBC8393.

Right now its only the supply line that has popped off, preventing me from starting the car.

Clip was there! Just wasn’t rotated to lock the hose in place.

 

Popped out again! I could not get it to go
in all the way. Had to get it towed.

If it were me I'd be Stopping Payment as well as sending that Garage a very large Bill

Anyway you are in Luck! as I had the same problem and managed to find some New Clips or rather Greg did!

SNG Barratt have got CBC 8294 which could probably be modded into CBC 8393 although Greg also found those on ebay
