Default Fuel Injector 6.0 vs 5.3

This will seem like an odd question but how does the later Bosch EV14 insert into the manifold ? - are the injector ports in the manifold any different on the 6.0 vs the 5.3 -

Does anyone in the UK have a scrap injector from a 6.0 laying around that they wish to dispose of - want to check something out - is the O ring on the 6.0 injector the same diameter as the rubber seal used by the early 'non O ring' version is the question I'm trying to answer.

I am considering moving away from the hose type injectors, although I do have some 'incoming' I am tempted to switch since I'm doing the fuel rails anyhow ... but I don't think I want to use hose tails any more ...

They're going to get back to me, I have looked at a number of manifolds 5.3 and 6.0 and they look no different. If I can make the O ring type work I am going to abandon the rails in the image above and machine some up to suit the later injector profile - no more hoses .... the pintles at face value seem to be the same length, the older style would have a rubber ring / washer seal whereas the later profile uses that space for the O ring.

Are the flow rates the same Ben?
How will the fuel rails be held in place so as to clamp the injectors in position?

Injectors will be clamped to the rail, the rail will be clamped to the manifold

I am in the process of designing the fuel rail mount - I could use the injector hold downs but I could simply use the fuel rail to hold the injectors in place - it is rigid enough so perhaps three of the existing injector mounts would be replaced by a fuel rail mount - no more hold down plates either. You can make out some mounts in this image - it also shows the pulse damper 'prototype'

and yes I am getting these made in Australia ....

And to answer the question I am moving to high impedence EV14 injectors - 14ohm not 2 - the flow rate is higher but I will be using wideband Lambda to manage, I will be running a slightly higher pressure than the default Jag pressure regulators. I will run 43.5 psi (3 bar) with vacuum compensation and will run in closed loop. Idle air will also be electronically managed.
